The hope of Christmas doesn't come in boxes and gift , it is in Christ Jesus.

The promise

Numbers 24:17

"I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Sheth.

Isaiah 9:6-7

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

Fulfillment

Luke 1:32-33

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob's descendants forever; his kingdom will never end."

Christmas is about the Word of God in action.

Christmas is about promise fulfilled.

Promise of salvation.

Luke 19:10

For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost."

Promise of deliverance.

Obadiah 1:17

But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance.

Promise of freedom.

Galatians 5:1

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Promise of   freedom from condemnation.

Romans 8:1

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus

Promise of riches and glory.

Philippians 4:19

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus

And promise of eternal life.

John 14:2

My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

Christmas is about the Word of God in action.

Christmas is about promise fulfilled.
