Essential Christian Teachings Christians Need to Know

There is a lot of misunderstanding about Christianity and what the Christian faith actually teaches. Because there are so many doctrines that have been added to the Christian faith, many may be confused about what Christianity actually teaches.

Here are essential teachings Christians need to understand.

1. Without the Resurrection, Christianity doesn't exist.

The core belief of Christianity is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The reason this is the central teaching of Christianity is really very simple: Christ's resurrection was his proof that he wasn't just a man, he is God. It was also about proving that he was the savior of mankind.

2. Jesus is God.

Although Islam teaches that Jesus is a prophet, and Judaism teaches something else, what the Bible teaches is that Jesus was very clear: He is God. He never said he was a man, a prophet. Those beliefs are a misreading of the Christian scripture, as well as heresy.

3. Saved by faith, subject to grace, not judged by the law.

One of the big fallacies non believers commit when it comes to Christians is that they think Christians believe they're perfect. Nothing is further from the truth.

We recognize that we are sinners and that the only path to heaven, and Christ, is to accept Jesus as the Messiah.

Christians are subject to grace because grace is the unearned gift of love from God. In the end, Christians will not be judged on whether they go to heaven or hell, but what their reward in heaven will be.

4. Love God, love your neighbor, love yourself.

In the Old Testament, there are 10 Commandments. When asked about observing the 10 Commandments, Jesus made basically the same statement in every gospel: that we love God, love our neighbor, and then love ourselves.

The Bible is clear that a neighbor is anyone whereas a brother is a fellow believer in Christ. In essence, Christ told us to love everyone.

Loving someone is very different from liking someone. When you like someone, it's about who they are. Love is about who you are. Also, the Bible tells us that God is love. Since God is love, then in order to love others, God must be a part of your life. Otherwise, it isn't love at all.

5. Being saved has nothing to do with being good.

In one of the gospels, someone calls Jesus good. Jesus replied by saying that only God is good. The truth is, none of us are good. No one is good.

Being saved is about accepting Christ as your Savior and putting your faith in him. It is about accepting that Christ is the only road to eternal life, not good works, purgatory, or "being good".

Jesus once said, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavty laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). If you want to find true peace, true happiness, you'll find it in Christ.

Wrong place?

When you are where you are not suppose to be, you do what you are not suppose to do.....

When yo are not where you suppose to be, you do what you suppose not to do.....

Wrong password..

I have tried logging into my account several times but couldn't get in.

Each time I press enter, I got wrong password complain as a feedback.

The rejection sign was troubling.

I felt so embarrassed because I was on the podium trying to present to a group.

Could I be wrong?

Could it be that I forgot my password?

At last I agreed I was wrong and the computer was right.

Luckily my son knows the password, so I called Him.

He gave me the correct password, lo and behold ..it went through..

Such is life I thought...................................................

Many times we keep trying  to make things right with the wrong tools.

Many times we think God doesn't answer us .
It is just because we are not asking the right thing.

Jesus Christ has come not to take advantage of us.

Opportunity is but once, even if we are given a second chance,  time lost can never be regain.  This is the story of a man who shared the story of his life to admonish the house of God, to encourage people in Christ Jesus... and to gain soul for the kingdom of God.

...Dear reader,

All my life, i have always put  blames on everyone around me until I found the real person that care for me ...Jesus Christ. When I was a teenager, I had bad friends,  go to clubs, do drugs and rob people off their belongings. I see this as fun, until my last robbery when I was caught and jailed for 17 years.

I never realise how much damage I have done to my life until it was the 7th year in the prison. I was informed that one of my best friend in college who use to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to me is now a big man in the capital state doing good. He is now a lawyer and known for his exploit in the law world.

I was so fortunate to see Him again during my 10th year  in jail. He actually came to visit  me, i was so surprise..to cut the story short..he preach to me again...the same word as in those days....Jesus loves you. He cares for you....and others... During this time he was preaching to me, all I could see was the time I had lost due to my attitude. It occur to me that if I had accepted Jesus earlier in my life, I  would have been a man with a better life and a good career. After he finished, I asked one question..my question to him was, 'how did he go about it so fast that his name is a house hold name in law chambers?'...His answer shocked me, because I was expecting him to tell me a very long, exciting or boring story about his adventure into law school, law firm and government. His answer was just two words 'Jesus Christ'.

I was so moved, I have heard  the message of Jesus Christ several times, but always take it with levity. This time it was down on me and my eyes were open , I saw reality, I saw life  in a different way from the way I do see it throughout my life.

I accepted Jesus Christ the same day and started reading the Bible every day.....It was not so long, I started seeing  change around me... I gained respect among the other inmates, I was put in charge of so many things by the prison`s officers and to crown it , i was recommended for  amnesty during the national day and I was released after  12 years. God is so fast to have done all this in just two years.

Not to forget within this last two years after accepting Jesus Christ, I learnt art and painting  in the prison.. This was the first time I will ever believe in myself.. I believe in myself because  Jesus Christ believed in me..that was the reason why He died for me before I was born. (Romans 5:8).

I got out and it was a big different from what I used to know.. Time has flew so fast that I was nowhere to be found. All my friends are big men, all bungalow are now skyscrapers. I knew if I had accepted  Jesus Christ earlier, my life would have taken the best route.. because all the life led by Jesus Christ are always the best  life. (Deuteronomy 8:18). Jesus makes us the best we can be.

My advice to all...Jesus Christ came for us..not to take advantage of us. If we accept Him as our Lord and personal savior, it is for our  good. Jesus Christ has not come only to write our name in the book of life, but to make our life better even while we are still on this earth. He has come to give us abundant life. (John 10:10).

The devil is the thief, he will entice us with all things that he knows it`s  ours, just like he did to Jesus Christ after the fasting. He will maneuver us with all our belongings in order to take them from us. If we give the devil a chance, he will take the future from us for a joy that will never  last. I am a living testimony.. My life would have been better, if I did listen to Jesus Christ my creator during my early life. I would have been  living a better life.

If you are reading my story and you still believe in your strength, your brain, your ability..it is all devil deception. Jesus Christ is the way , truth and life, we can only get eternal life through Him.( John 14:6). If you don't want to lose so much like me, you can get redeem by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior. To remind you, your works cannot make it right , not even when you are a geek... To accept Jesus Christ...Just acknowledge yourself as a sinner and ask for forgiveness of your sins. Call Him to be the Lord over your life and you will be save. Read you bible  and join the people of God to continue in the faith.

I have so much to tell you, but I will stop here for now. I will continue my experience outside prison in the next episode...just for you to learn and know that only Jesus can save us from the gimmicks of the devil. Remain blessed.

The Blank Cheque

If God give you a blank cheque what will you write?

Matthew 7:7 (NIV)

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

If God give your another chance to start over again what will you change?

If God give you a second chance what will you avoid  and what will you embraces?

Every new year is a blank cheque  with 365 pages,

each page has your name with Gods signature.

You are given the privilege to write what you want.

Write wisely.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV)

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

Better way to write,  is to write with the help of the Holy spirit.

John 14:16 (KJV)

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

We are all given opportunities...

What differentiate us is how we use it.

Each year is like a  blank book,

the title is 'Your act in 2014'.

You have 365 chapters to write.

You have 8750 paragraphs to compose.

You  have 525600 sentences to scribble.

You have 31536000 words in total to write..a lot I guess?

In  no time the year will be exhausted..

Whichever letter you choose will make a word,

whichever word you choose will make a sentence,

whichever sentences you combine will make a paragraph.

Your paragraphs will give you a chapter.

In a year time you will write a 365 chapters...

Whatever you write will make a story... live diligently.

Better way to write,  is to write with the help of the Holy spirit.

Romans 8:26(NLT)

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

We are all given opportunities...

Choice is part of human life.

The choices we make, either make us or destroy us.

We have choices...

Life  or death.

Truth or lie.

Good or bad.

Constructive or destructive.

Salvation or damnation.

If we choose life.. we shall live .

They are the fuel that drives our actions

They are the template that our future is built on.

I have been thinking lately..why do we have so much havoc around us?

Why do so many bad news flock our media?

Why do we promote evil compare to righteousness?

..Bad choices....is one of the major reasons.

It happened in the time of Jesus Christ..

Barabbas..the notorious criminal .... was chosen over Christ Jesus.

We unleash evil when we make wrong choices.

That is the reason we have more crime today..

In 2014, our decision matters.

Good and right decision will put us on the wise side,

and  give us speed in all our endeavor.

To make good choices in 2014,

we need to have, know and live in Christ.....,

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

We need to acknowledge him as our father, comforter and saviour.

Then we are 100% sure that our decision will be right.

John 14:16  (KJV)

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, 

that he may abide with you for ever;

In 2014, we need to learn to go to God,

to  ask, listen and take counsel  before deciding.

James 1:5 (KJV)

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, 

and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

We should be patient,

and never make decision in haste.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. 

Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 

Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. 

His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

How to have healing in the Word of God?

This was a question someone asked me,

and I decided to write about it,

for edification of the church..

All words written are backed with the word of God,
and available for you to read, meditate and apply.

I advice that you have your bible besides you.

and have faith in His word as you read.

Mark 11:22

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered.

Easier said than done somebody will say,

healing my foot, how possible is that?

But the word of God has answer all the questions concerning our doubts..

Jeremiah 32:27

"I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?

Nothing is impossible for God.

Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. 

But with God everything is possible."

You just need to have faith,

and healing will be possible for you.

Matthew 17:20

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. 

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 

'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

To  have healing...

you need to know it is your right as a son of GOD to be perfect in health..

3 John 1:2

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, 

even as your soul is getting along well.

I repeat ,

to  have perfect healing...

you need to know it is your right as a son of GOD to be perfect in health..

Isaiah 53:4-5

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. 

And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, 

a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, 

crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. 

He was whipped so we could be healed.

Perfect healing has happen before,

the Word of God  testifies about so many healings..which you can read about and meditate on...

Psalm 105:37

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: 

and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

Perfect healing still happen,

even in our present age  through the word of GOD,

and the word of God stand sure, ...The word of God  has never changed.

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The bible specifically talk about healing,

James 5:14-15

Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, 

anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; 

the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

God is thinking about us.

God has us in mind,

He is a good father.

Hebrews 4:15

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, 

for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

God cares for us..

When we are  strong or sick.

Healing to fullness

 To enjoy healing to the fullness, you need to be a child of God.

Are you far away from God?

Have you known him before, but no more?

You need to come back to your father.

Repent of your sins.

Call Him to be in charge of your life.

Revelation 3:20

"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, 

I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends

Then you will enjoy healing to the fullness.

John 1:12

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, 

he gave the right to become children of God--

Conclusion

...Be a child of God, just believe, have faith in God, believe in total healing, use the word of God.. 
I know you will be healed...receive your healing in Jesus Christ  name . Amen
