Celebration of freedom

Although my  felicitation is coming late, but it is never too late to wish us happy celebration...yes we celebrate the country freedom. don't we?
Every particular day of the year, every country celebrate her freedom, and during one of those celebration we had some time to celebrate it with friends in church.
The day was awesome, lot of flag in the air, on cars,  and houses.
People went out to the beaches, surfing and the real outdoor eating..Barbeque.
Lot of barbeque..hotdog, burger, steak.....etc...yum.. yum ...yum
It is really good to celebrate  freedom  and really good to be free.
In all this I was not carried away to know that somebody actually came to set us free in total.
Jesus Christ came several years ago to set the whole world free, but it only a few that know, appreciate  and actually celebrate this.
John 10:10b (KJV)
... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 8:36 (NLT)
So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

Do we actually know what it mean to be free?
This is the question that many actually cannot answer, if we cannot define freedom, then we are still bound under the circumstances we cannot define.

What is freedom?
How do we gain freedom? ..
Are we actually free?
When are we free?

A lot of   these type of question on freedom actually filled my mind.
The only freedom i  know that free us from all fears and worries, is the freedom in Christ Jesus.
That is the only freedom that free all nation,  no matter where you are, where you are born or raised and who you are.
It is the only freedom that unites us all and give us equal opportunity .
In Christ Jesus we have liberty in total.
2 Corinthians 3:17  (NLT)
For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

If you don't have Christ, all you have experience is not compare to what Jesus Christ had in stock for you.
Freedom is when you know that economic breakdown cannot affect you.
Philippians 4:19 (NLT)
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Freedom is when you don't fear death because you know death has been defeated
1 Corinthians 15:55 (NLT)
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"

Freedom is when you know,  no man can harm you because you are protected.
Psalm 23:4 (NLT)
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me

Freedom is when you know God cares for you, He knows your name.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NLT)
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."

Freedom is when you know you  have a future.
Proverbs 23:18  (NIV)
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Freedom is when you asked and it is given, when you seek and found, when you knocked and doors were opened
Matthew 7:7 (NLT)
"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

Freedom is when there is hope for you after this life.
John 14:3 (KJV)
"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Freedom is when you are not afraid of the weapon of the enemy, because He that is in you is greater than He that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 (NLT)
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Isaiah 54:17  (KJV)
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Freedom is when you sleep and you  are not scared to have dreams,  if you do..you will overcome victoriously in the dream. The dream will be a great revelation..
Psalm 127:2 (NIV)
In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.

So I will pause for you to re-define freedom in your own words.

Now, what is freedom to you?
When do you think you are free?
What is your freedom based on?
Who gives, sanction and ascertain your freedom?
How did you gain freedom..? if none..how do you plan to be free?

Jesus is the only one who can give you freedom you seek elsewhere.
Freedom from fear, death, debt, .......and so on.
The only way to be free is to accept, submit to Jesus Christ and follow Him totally.
Then your freedom is guaranteed.
